I just finished watching the CNN series, "God's Warriors" which sorta lead me to browsing podcasts and yours caught my eye, I only watched the one titled "Evidence That God Does Not Exists" so please excuse me if I haven't grasped you're full and complete outlook on God and so forth. I felt this one podcast gave me a fair representation, confirming what I somewhat assumed, which is that your disbelief in God is based on what most believing Christians consider to be the word of God, the Holy Bible. In my opinion the Bible is quite flawed, and in no way be considered the word of God. Obviously written by men with their own opinions influenced by the thinking and mores of their time, on morality, God, Jesus, sin, etc. No matter how well intentioned they might've been, the Bible was authored by imperfect humans. This isn't to say that portions of what is written in the Bible, or in other religious books isn't based on some truths. I admit, if my faith and belief in God were solely based on the Bible or on any of the world's major religions, I too would be questioning God's existence. The Bible is without a doubt, not the place where any thinking man would go to seek faith in a higher power. But the Bible's shortcomings and misrepresentation of God doesn't mean God isn't real. Basing you're arguments against the existence of God on the Bible and Christian beliefs too would be flawed. So then any argument you have against the existence of God must be based on other factors, which in the end can't be proven, because no matter what you point out, be it evolution or why we have wars (just to name a couple) it can also be argued that God just designed it to be that way. Perhaps you would do many things differently if you were God. I can't fully explain why God may've chosen to create us and this world in what may seem like a chaotic and random manner. But then we probably aren't as intellectually evolved as God, if he indeed exists. Maybe we could be at some later point as part of God's plan. We'll just have to wait and see.

If you haven't read already, I'd like to recommend a book called "The Urantia Book". For an atheist who has obviously spent much time on this subject, I think you would find it a very interesting read, to say the least. If you have already read it, I would be very interested in hearing your take on what it had to say. All the best to you, and don't ever stop questioning, seek the truth and be willing to have an open mind.

• You cannot change the meaning of words so that they fit what you want them to say. Light means light. The electro-magnetic waves that bounce around our universe and allow us to see objects outside ourselves. That is the light that the word is refering to and no amount of logical gymnastics is going to change that.
• belief in something does not make it true. The only objective way we have of knowing the truth is through evaluating our perception taking into account what others see. Did any one else hear the voice speak to you?
• Hearing hallucinations, which are common when someone is sick, is not evidence of God. It is also not evidence that the person is crazy or unstable, just that they are human and sometimes perception can play tricks on us.

I appreciate that you took your time first of all to expound on the razor theory and i totally understand. But, listening to your question about the light. I would like to shed insight on that . When God said let there be light , the question is What was the Light? God was the Light no need to explain that is a short and simple explanation of the Light I can prove it to you scripturally and you will see it.. . I love Genesis and God is not trying to prove he does not exist but, He already proved he lives. the bible says my sheep "hear" my voice. Not, every thought that comes to a person is the voice of God gaurantee but, We can hear the voice of God i know i have and it has been 100% correct. For example i remember when i was sick and on my death bed at 3:00 in the morning a voice came into the room loud and audiable said "I am not finished with you i came to heal your body" I know i did not make that up . And at 5:00am the doctors could not explain what happen to me they just simply said it was a miracle from God. Faith is the substance of things "hoped" for (key word) and the evidence of things not seen. I live by faith on a daily bases and i tell you God Can show you he lives
