God required animal sacrifices from the Jews until the time that Jesus offered himself so that the Jews would have their sins covered over until their sins could be paid for by Jesus. The sacrifices also helped the Jews understand the significance of what Jesus did when he shed his blood for mankind; they were called a shadow of things to come.
As for your claim that Christians are cannibals, you need only look back at the Bible and read what Jesus said about the communion bread and cup when questioned by his disciples. Jesus made it clear that the bread and drink were not His actual body and blood, but that what he spoke concerning the bread and the drink were of spiritual meaning (as opposed to physical meaning).
For your information, God is more than just rational. He is righteous, holy, just, truthful, loving, patient, kind, to name just a handful of His attributes.
If you would consider these things then you might come to realize that a just and holy God could not overlook wickedness but must punish sinners. But being supremely loving, however, He also has managed to make a way for repentant sinners to find forgiveness at a great cost to Him (Jesus).
Wouldn’t it be worth your while to consider the goodness of God and what it could be like for you if you get to know Him?
Where do you find real love and peace and happiness in your world? Do you find it in people who believe in 'survival of the fittest'; do you look forward to anything good or only to sorrow, suffering and death?
Seek the Lord Jesus while He may be found; call upon Him while He is still near.

Errantists rightly cherry pick. They bray that the Buy-bull is not about how the heavens go but how to get to Heaven, but salvation is no more than the divine protectin racket! A rational god would not require any kind of animal sacrifice.Jews stopped sacrificing other animals long ago, but Christians love yahweh for sacrificing His son and then they love being cannibals and vampires in their partaking of Yeshua's body and blood.
